LDF candidate in Wayanad bypoll, Sathyan Mokeri, criticized UDF's Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for her early departure from the constituency after filing her nomination. Mokeri alleged that if elected, she wouldn't remain present for the people, echoing a similar complaint about Rahul Gandhi.
Mokeri's remarks, made post-Priyanka's campaign kickoff, suggested a pattern of absenteeism by the Gandhi family in Wayanad. He pointed out that during Rahul's term, Wayanad residents barely saw their representative, despite pressing issues like human-animal conflict and infrastructure challenges remaining unresolved.
In contrast, Priyanka held multiple corner meetings as part of her campaign. The seat became vacant after Rahul Gandhi's election to Rai Bareli. Joining the fray, BJP candidate Navya Haridas adds to the race for the November elections.
