Sirsa MP Kumari Selja will begin her campaign for the Haryana assembly polls this week, despite reports of internal conflicts within the Congress party. Speaking to PTI in Delhi, Selja, who is also the Congress general secretary, dismissed concerns about her absence from earlier campaigns.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a swipe at Congress, labeling it as 'anti-Dalit' and accusing the party of disrespecting leaders like Selja and Ashok Tanwar. Haryana's former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar added fuel to the fire, inviting Selja to join BJP amid ongoing speculations about her distancing from the Congress campaign.
Amid these controversies, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala confirmed Selja's participation in a rally in Narwana, reiterating her commitment to bring Congress to power in Haryana. Selja emphasized her focus on unity and representation for all sections of society, distancing herself from any potential defection to the BJP.
