During a media briefing, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed pointed questions about the symbolic embrace, noting that it's a common cultural practice in India and should not be overinterpreted.

Despite Western criticism, Modi has maintained that both Ukraine and Russia need to engage in dialogue, promoting peace and a non-violent resolution to their ongoing conflict.
