In a decisive move ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda held extensive discussions with party leaders to narrow down their list of candidates and refine their electoral strategy.
Key participants in the meeting included Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina, Devender Singh Rana, and Union Minister Jitendra Singh, alongside poll in-charges G Kishan Reddy and Ram Madhav, and the party's national general secretary Tarun Chugh.
The Central Election Committee of the BJP is anticipated to convene shortly to finalize its candidates for upcoming elections in both Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.
