In a press conference held in Nagur, Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the alleged nexus between Adani and the SEBI chairperson, Madhabi Puri Buch.
Baghel accused the Modi government and SEBI chairperson of facilitating Adani's business acquisitions through misuse of Central agencies, urging the Supreme Court to take suo motu cognisance of new information that has surfaced.
US short-seller Hindenburg Research suggested Buch may have stakes in offshore funds linked to Adani. While Buch and Adani have both denied these allegations, Baghel insists the claims warrant further investigation.
