The BJP's Delhi unit is gearing up to launch an extensive membership drive starting September 2, with the target of adding at least 200 members from each of the over 13,000 polling booths in the city in preparation for next year's assembly elections.

A five-member team, headed by North West MP Yogender Chandolia, will oversee the drive to ensure it runs smoothly. The team includes senior leaders such as Yogita Singh, Shikha Rai, Ashok Goel, and Vinod Bacheti. Senior party leaders, including state president Virendra Sachdeva and general secretary (organisation) Pawan Rana, reviewed the campaign preparations in a crucial meeting held at the party office.

The national membership drive will officially be kicked off on September 1 by BJP national president JP Nadda and later launched in Delhi by local leadership. Delhi BJP chief Sachdeva mentioned that the comprehensive strategy for expanding membership was discussed at different levels. The drive aims to revitalize the party base and energize the organizational setup ahead of the elections. At a national level, the BJP aims to enrol more than 10 crore members through various registration methods.
