Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh has voiced confidence about the upcoming bye-elections, forecasting a robust backing for the BJP. By-elections for 10 assembly seats in the state are anticipated later this year.

"In the Lok Sabha elections, the people of Uttar Pradesh were misled by the opposition, leading to widespread dissatisfaction. We are confident of receiving significant support in these by-elections and expect a strong performance," BJP MLA Jaiveer Singh stated on Sunday. He also noted that thorough preparations for the by-polls have been undertaken at all levels.

"The Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party has ensured meticulous preparation at every booth and with every BLO (block level officer)," Singh highlighted. The ten assembly seats lined up for the by-polls include Katehari (Ambedkar Nagar), Ghaziabad, Majhawan (Mirzapur), Sisamau (Kanpur Nagar), Karhal (Mainpuri), Milkipur (Ayodhya), Meerapur (Muzaffarnagar), Khair (Aligarh), Phulpur (Prayagraj), and Kundarki (Moradabad).

Previously, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya declared the BJP is well-prepared for the by-polls and is optimistic about reclaiming its seats, along with potentially winning those held by the Samajwadi Party. "BJP is rigorously preparing from the booth level to the Vidhan Sabha level across all 10 constituencies. We are confident of not only reclaiming our seats but also capturing seats currently held by the Samajwadi Party," Maurya remarked.

Earlier, the Samajwadi Party appointed election in-charges for six of the assembly by-poll seats. Out of the ten seats going to the polls, five were previously secured by the Samajwadi Party, three by the BJP, and one each by the Rashtriya Lok Dal and Nishad Party, both of which are NDA partners.
