Congress general secretary Kumari Selja hinted on Tuesday that she is open to contesting the upcoming October 1 Assembly elections. Speaking to reporters during the 'Congress Sandesh Yatra', she reaffirmed that her desire to contest state elections has been consistent, even after her recent election as Member of Parliament from Sirsa.
Selja was joined by Congress general secretary and former Haryana minister Randeep Singh Surjewala, who predicted that the BJP would face a major downfall in the upcoming elections. He claimed that public dissatisfaction with the BJP's governance will lead to the party's reduction to single-digit representation in the assembly.
The leaders emphasized that the people of Haryana are disillusioned with the BJP's decade-long rule, alleging that it failed to achieve any significant development in the state. They expressed confidence in the Congress's prospects, noting an overwhelming wave of public support and calls for change.
