Haryana police have apprehended seven individuals, including two minors, in relation to the murder of migrant laborer Sabir Malik in the Charkhi Dadri district, authorities said.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dheeraj Kumar confirmed that a case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and an active investigation is underway. The accused, identified as Abhishek, Ravinder, Mohit, Kamaljeet, and Sahil, are currently in police remand for questioning. "A migrant laborer was beaten to death by some people. A case has been registered under BNS and seven people, including two juveniles, have been arrested. Police are actively working on the case," DSP Kumar stated.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini termed the incident "unfortunate" and emphasized that such violent occurrences should not transpire. "It is not right to say things like mob lynching, because a strict law has been made in the Assembly for cow protection and there is no compromise on it... I want to say that such incidents should not happen and these incidents are unfortunate," he added.
