In a sharp critique, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir, Yudhvir Sethi, accused National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah of misleading the public and derailing the Union Territory's progress. Sethi's remarks come at a crucial time as Jammu and Kashmir braces for its first elections since the abrogation of Article 370.
Speaking to ANI, Sethi asserted, "Omar Abdullah should speak the truth and accept that things that have gone will never come back. Despite losing in the Supreme Court, Abdullah continues to mislead people, fueling terrorism, nepotism, and corruption."
Sethi further alleged Abdullah's manifesto aims to ruin the region by making unattainable promises such as restoring Article 370, 35-A, and statehood. He criticized the National Conference's manifesto as "useless" and claimed it was intended to push Jammu and Kashmir towards Pakistan. The upcoming elections will be the first in a decade, following the PDP-BJP coalition government's collapse in 2018.
