Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged party leaders to disseminate the party's ideology nationwide, expressing confidence in the BJP's future electoral success.

During a BJP meeting, it was revealed the party would initiate a membership drive from September 1. Shah highlighted that citizens have continually shown faith in BJP governments while rejecting Congress, according to sources.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra detailed the drive aims to surpass 10 crore members, excluding states with upcoming elections. The current membership stands at 18 crore, with aspirations to exceed this number.

The meeting, attended by top BJP officials including President J P Nadda, served as a training workshop for the membership drive. Patra emphasized the initiative's inclusivity, covering all castes, religions, and communities. Vinod Tawde and Rekha Verma will lead the drive.

Shah remarked on the BJP's growth from winning just two Lok Sabha seats in 1984 to its current dominance in national politics, attributing success to its systematic hard work and ideology. He criticized Congress's failure to sustain power in many states.

New members will be enrolled through methods like calling a mobile number, using a QR code, the NaMo app, or the BJP's website, with paper methods used in remote areas.
