Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray has demonstrated significant magnanimity by offering to support any leader from the Congress or NCP (SP) for the chief minister's post, according to party MP Sanjay Raut.

Thackeray, a former CM, is considered a unifying figure, Raut asserted while refuting claims that Thackeray's latest message to allies was a pressure tactic. Addressing reporters, Raut challenged the ruling Mahayuti coalition—comprising the rival Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, BJP, and NCP led by Ajit Pawar—to announce their CM candidate.

Meanwhile, Milind Deora, MP from the Shinde-led Shiv Sena, stated that the Congress would never support Thackeray for the CM role. Thackeray reiterated his willingness to back any candidate decided by Congress and NCP (SP), stressing the importance of deciding on a CM candidate before the elections.
