Senior BJP Leader and Dozens of Workers Join National Conference Ahead of Elections

A senior BJP leader, Sukhjit Singh, along with dozens of party workers, joined the National Conference on Saturday, according to a party spokesman.
BJP OBC J&K state secretary and Bhartiya Modi Army president Sukhjit Singh and many workers were welcomed by National Conference president Farooq Abdullah at his residence. The spokesman called this a "significant boost" for the party ahead of the assembly elections starting September 18.
Farooq Abdullah urged the cadre to gear up for elections and communicate the party's achievements to the public. Abdullah emphasized the party's commitment to the development and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and assured that the party would continue to work tirelessly for the welfare of the people.
In another ceremony, Ajay Kumar Sadotra welcomed Sunny Kant Chib, former state youth coordinator of Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, and over two dozen former panchayat members into the National Conference. Chib expressed his confidence in the leadership of the National Conference and its vision for Jammu and Kashmir's future.
