Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has vehemently criticized the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), promising to eliminate the party from the state. Addressing a public meeting in Khammam on Thursday, Reddy declared, "It is my responsibility to destroy and bury BRS. As your brother, I am giving you my word. I will take the responsibility of throwing off BRS from Telangana to the Bay of Bengal."
Reddy also took aim at the BJP, claiming that the Union Budget gave nothing to Telangana despite the state providing the party with eight seats in the last general elections. "If you stand by my side, destroying BRS or BJP is not a big issue. The BJP does not have any place in Telangana," he asserted. Reddy emphasized the necessity of completing key irrigation projects and establishing 'Indiramma Rajyam' for the development of the state.
Continuing his attack, Reddy criticized the BRS for its poor electoral performance, particularly in the parliamentary elections. "The party is in a situation of begging at the Banjara Hills bus stand," he said. He challenged BRS leaders KTR and Harish Rao, questioning their credibility and the party's future. Reddy also highlighted Congress' commitment to a Rs 2 lakh farm loan waiver, which he claims has benefitted lakhs of farmers within eight months of coming to power.
