Using the 'chakravyuh' metaphor as a leitmotif, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Monday claimed that an atmosphere of fear pervades the country, orchestrated by six key figures. He promised that the INDIA bloc would break this 'chakravyuh'.

Participating in the Lok Sabha debate on Budget 2024-25, Gandhi said the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) would pass a legal guarantee for MSP and a caste census. His speech, invoking Mahabharat references, led to frequent interventions by Speaker Om Birla.

Gandhi accused the Union Budget of aiming to strengthen big businesses and political monopoly, further alleging that fear and monopoly power have entrapped the country under a 'chakravyuh' of six people. He emphasized the need to break this control for the nation's democratic health.
