Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday took part in the land allotment programme for the Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists Housing Society, symbolically handing over the Government Order copy related to the land allocation.
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy's earlier decision on housing sites for journalists was highlighted. Revanth Reddy expressed concerns about the tarnished image of journalism due to the actions of a few unprofessional reporters and urged professional journalists to take corrective measures.
He also announced that the Media Academy has been directed to draft new guidelines addressing issues such as health cards and accreditation for journalists, and assured that these proposals will be considered by the cabinet.
