Financial irregularities at the state-run Valmiki Corporation have set off a political storm in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly for a second consecutive day. Leader of Opposition R Ashoka has demanded Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's resignation, holding the Congress government accountable for what he describes as 'loot' at the corporation.

Ashoka asserts that Rs 187 crore earmarked for the welfare of the ST community was diverted through digital payment methods like PhonePe and Google Pay. The scandal came to light following the suicide of the corporation's accounts superintendent, who left behind a note detailing the unauthorized transfer of funds.

The situation escalated as Ashoka demanded a CBI and ED probe into the financial irregularities, accusing the government of complicity and negligence. The controversy has led to heated debates in the assembly, with multiple ministers and opposition members clashing over the issue.
