Three individuals have been arrested in Amritsar for possessing two kilograms of heroin, according to local police sources on Sunday.
Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar disclosed that the initial investigation established links between the suspects and drug traffickers based in Pakistan.
The suspects reportedly used a variety of social media platforms to orchestrate cross-border drug smuggling operations executed via drones. Police apprehended them in the Dana Mandi area near Bhagtawala, Amritsar, during a motorcycle journey. Subsequent interrogations led to the recovery of the heroin.
