Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi conducted a significant visit to Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday to evaluate the existing security scenario, as confirmed by official reports.
The Chief's visit coincides with heightened anti-terror efforts following a tragic incident where militants killed two village defence guards in Kishtwar after abducting them, creating an urgent need for fortified security measures.
General Dwivedi, during his interaction with the troops of Rising Star Corps stationed in Kathua, commended their exceptional levels of professionalism and dedication. The ADGPI of the Indian Army publicized these commendations on the platform formerly known as Twitter.
