In a call for urgent action, Congress' Jammu and Kashmir chief Tariq Hameed Karra has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to honor their promise of restoring statehood to the region.
During a public outreach program at Central Shalteng assembly constituency, Karra emphasized that the central government had repeatedly assured statehood restoration in various platforms, including Parliament and election campaigns.
He stressed the vital role of full statehood in ensuring responsive governance and addressing key issues like unemployment and healthcare through modern infrastructure and educational reforms.
