A political clash erupted between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) concerning the termination of all contractual employees at the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), announced just before Diwali.
AAP's national convener Arvind Kejriwal promised to fight for the reinstatement of the terminated workers, criticizing the BJP for going back on job creation promises, especially during the festive season.
In rebuttal, BJP leaders accused the AAP government of neglect and irregularities in the hiring process, suggesting the Kejriwal administration failed to address unpaid salaries and other issues prior to the layoffs, per their April directive.
