Major Reshuffle: Maharashtra Government Transfers Key IAS Officers

The Maharashtra government has announced the transfer of 12 IAS officers. Key appointments include Milind Mhaiskar as Additional Chief Secretary in the Forest and Revenue department, and Santosh Patil replacing Jitendra Dudi as Satara Collector. Several other departments see new leadership with appointees across health, education, and agriculture.

The Maharashtra government executed a significant administrative reshuffle on Thursday, transferring 12 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to new roles. Among the changes, Milind Mhaiskar has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Forest and Revenue department, moving from his previous post in the Health department.

Nipun Vinayak will replace Mhaiskar, taking over the Health department, while Venugopal Reddy steps into the role of Additional Chief Secretary in the Higher and Technical Education department. In a notable swap, Santosh Patil takes over as the new Satara Collector, with Jitendra Dudi appointed as the Pune Collector in place of Suhas Diwase.

Other key appointments include Vikas Chandra Rastogi in the agriculture department and I A Kundan in the industry, energy, and labour departments. Additionally, Vinita Vaid Singhal and Harshdeep Kamble have been named principal secretaries in the environment and climate change and social justice departments, respectively. Jayashree Bhoj and H S Sonawane have also received new assignments in pivotal state departments.
