The Karnataka government has formed a new committee of ministers to review and coordinate actions regarding various scams from the previous BJP administration, said Home Minister G Parameshwara on Wednesday. The panel is expected to convene this week to expedite the review process within a span of two months.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah constituted the five-member panel on Tuesday, assigning it the task of completing the review within two months. This move is interpreted as a strategy to counter the BJP's ongoing criticism of the ruling Congress over various scams.

Speaking to reporters, Parameshwara indicated that the committee will assess every case, including those decided and pending, and submit a report to the Cabinet. He emphasized that cases should not remain unresolved and asserted that the committee's formation aims to quicken the review process.
