Hundreds of people gathered across the city on Wednesday night demanding justice for the woman doctor murdered at the state-run R G Kar hospital last month. The protests served as a call for a swift investigation and arrest of the guilty.

Modeled after the 'Reclaim the Night' movement, people assembled at various city spots, including Biswa Bangla Gate, Shyambazar, and Sodpur Traffic More, to seek justice for the doctor. Participants sang revolutionary songs to emphasize their cause.

Bengali film personalities Swastika Mukherjee and Sohini Sarkar joined the gatherings, while several lawyers formed human chains outside Calcutta High Court and Bankshall Court during the day, advocating for justice. The CBI has arrested a civic volunteer and the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in connection with the case.
