Man Arrested for Rape and Forced Religious Conversion in Punjab Love Trap Case

A 29-year-old man, Sohail Khan, was apprehended alongside his parents on allegations of rape and violation of anti-religious conversion laws, police announced Wednesday.
The complainant, a 26-year-old call centre employee from Punjab, accused Khan of deceiving her into a relationship under the false identity of a non-Muslim. She claimed he later tried to coerce her into changing her religion.
Khan's parents were also arrested for aiding their son's alleged crimes. An FIR has been lodged under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges under the UP Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion (Amendment) Act. The victim will undergo a medical examination and present her testimony in court.
