Successful Western Iraq Raid by U.S. and Iraqi Forces Neutralizes 15 ISIS Operatives

In an early morning announcement on Friday, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that a partnered raid with the Iraqi Security Forces in western Iraq had successfully neutralized 15 Islamic State (ISIS) operatives on August 29.
According to CENTCOM, the ISIS elements were well-armed, featuring numerous weapons, grenades, and explosive 'suicide' belts. Despite the potential for high collateral damage, the operation was executed without any civilian casualties.
The joint raid highlights the ongoing cooperation between U.S. forces and Iraqi Security Forces in combating the ISIS threat in the region, demonstrating both countries' commitment to maintaining regional stability and security.
