Pavel Durov, the billionaire founder and CEO of Telegram, was detained at the Bourget Airport outside Paris on Saturday evening, according to TF1 TV, which cited an unnamed source.
Traveling aboard his private jet, Durov was the subject of an arrest warrant in France, TF1 reported on its website.
Telegram has not immediately commented on the situation despite requests from Reuters.
