A 26-year-old woman allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a knife, injuring his private parts after he refused to marry her, police reported on Tuesday in Thane, Maharashtra.
The incident took place on August 16 in Bhiwandi. The woman attacked her 31-year-old boyfriend in her Padma Nagar residence, stabbing him after his refusal to marry, an official disclosed.
The injured man managed to escape and reach a hospital where he later filed a police complaint. A case has been registered under section 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made so far, according to the police.
