In a significant development in the Pune Porsche car crash case, police have arrested two individuals, including the father of a minor allegedly involved in a blood sample swap, a top official said on Tuesday.
The arrests bring the total number of individuals held in the case to nine. The crash, which occurred on May 19 in Kalyani Nagar, involved a 17-year-old driver ramming his speeding Porsche into two IT professionals on a motorbike, resulting in their deaths.
The arrested individuals, suspected of exchanging the blood samples of the minors with those of other people, were produced before a local court and sent to police custody until August 26. The minor's father, a prominent builder, is among the accused.
