Two malls in Gurugram and Noida were evacuated on Saturday following bomb threat emails. Police later confirmed that no suspicious items were found after comprehensive anti-sabotage checks.
The threats targeted DLF Mall of India in Noida and Ambience Mall in Gurugram, arriving three months after similar threats to multiple NCR schools. An email to Ambience Mall threatened mass casualties and implicated individuals named Paige and Nora.
Gurugram police deployed bomb and dog squads, conducting a four-and-a-half-hour-long search. Assistant Commissioner of Police Vikas Kaushik confirmed the search yielded nothing suspicious, adding that efforts to trace the email source are underway. The DLF Mall of India in Noida also undertook searches and declared the email a hoax.
