A bomb threat email sparked the evacuation of DLF Mall of India in Sector 18, Noida, on Saturday. Following a detailed search, police reported that no suspicious items were found, declaring the threat a hoax.
According to Additional Commissioner of Police (law and order) Shivhari Meena, the mall underwent extensive security checks after the threat was received, confirming that no objectionable items were discovered. Meanwhile, the mall authorities stated that the evacuation was part of a security drill coordinated with Noida authorities.
Shoppers and moviegoers were evacuated and screenings were paused as security personnel conducted checks. The incident, which caused momentary panic, resulted in a swift response from law enforcement. The DLF Mall of India is now fully operational and emphasizes its commitment to maintaining high security standards for the safety of all patrons.
