Three individuals have been apprehended by the police for allegedly manufacturing and distributing counterfeit Indian currency in the Dwarka locale of southwest Delhi.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh, authorities confiscated Rs 1.40 lakh in bogus 200-rupee notes from the suspects, identified as Anas Khan (20), Aman Kumar (25), and Vikas Kumar (24).

Law enforcement officers detained Khan near Dwarka Mor metro station based on information received on August 5. A subsequent search uncovered 301 fake 200-rupee notes in his possession. Following Khan's statement, Vikas Kumar and Aman Kumar were later arrested on August 6 near Peeragarhi metro station while delivering counterfeit currency.

Vikas Kumar, previously arrested in Hisar, Haryana, was found with three mobile phones and various counterfeiting equipment at his residence.

Authorities are continuing the investigation and searching for other potential members of the counterfeiting syndicate.
