Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday accused the health department of providing false information in an affidavit to the high court without his knowledge.

Speaking at a press conference, Bharadwaj called it a huge conspiracy and stated he would be writing to the law department to address the issue.

The Delhi High Court is currently hearing a petition about ICU beds in hospitals, and a committee led by Dr. Sarin has been formed to suggest improvements for health facilities in the capital, he mentioned.

''On May 24, the court inquired about the government's actions on the Sarin committee's recommendations. Surprisingly, the health department submitted an affidavit without my knowledge,'' he stated.

The affidavit was filed through the services department, he claimed.

Bharadwaj highlighted that he had repeatedly informed the chief secretary about a significant shortage of medicines in hospitals and Mohalla Clinics. Despite this, an affidavit, supposedly approved by the health secretary, claimed all medicines were available, he alleged.

He described the situation as a conspiracy to mislead the court and stated his intent to seek strict action against the health secretary.
