Bihar Police have launched an investigation following an email threatening to bomb the Chief Minister's office, confirmed a senior officer.
The FIR, lodged based on Sachivalaya Police Station SHO Sanjeev Kumar's statement, reveals that the email was sent on July 16, claimingly by someone linked to Al-Qaeda.
'An old case, the FIR was registered on August 2, 2024, following inquiries,' Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra informed PTI. The State Crime Records Bureau's website confirms the case falls under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and IT Act.
