Assam Chief Minister and BJP Jharkhand In-Charge Himanta Biswa Sarma met BJP leader Arun Oraon in Ranchi on Sunday. This meeting follows the registration of an FIR against 12,000 unnamed and 51 identified individuals for allegedly being involved in a clash with police during a Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) rally in Ranchi, officials said.

According to Ranchi Police, the FIR names BJP state president Babulal Marandi, former Union minister Arjun Munda, MoS Defense Sanjay Seth, spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo, among others. The Bharatiya Janata Party's Jharkhand unit organized a 'Yuva Aakrosh Rally' in Ranchi on August 23, protesting against the governance of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Senior BJP leaders, including Union Minister Sanjay Seth and former Union Minister Arjun Munda, joined the protest. Union Minister Sanjay Seth claimed that corruption is at its peak in Jharkhand, youth unemployment is rampant, and women's safety is a critical issue. The Hemant Soren government must address these concerns. Assembly elections in Jharkhand are set for 2024, and the BJP aims to corner the government on these issues. (ANI)
