In an effort to bring the government closer to the people, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann addressed public grievances in Jalandhar on Wednesday under the 'Doabe Ch Sarkar Tuhaade Dwaar' initiative.

Accompanied by officers from various departments, including police, Mann listened to and resolved numerous public issues on the spot. He revealed that he rented a house in Jalandhar during the by-election for the Jalandhar West constituency, which AAP recently won. 'When the Jalandhar West bypolls were held, I took this house on rent. I had said this publicly that at least for two days in a week, I will remain present in Jalandhar,' Mann told reporters.

He assured that on other days, a liaison officer and other government officials would be available to address public applications and resolve issues. 'This is a good experience; I am feeling good. People are coming here from Pathankot, Ferozepur, Zira, and other neighboring places also,' Mann said.

Earlier, Mann met with AAP volunteers and workers over lunch to celebrate the victory of party candidate Mohinder Bhagat in the by-election.
