In a definitive political stance, senior Congress leader Kumari Selja has unequivocally ruled out an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the impending Haryana Assembly elections. Addressing editors at the PTI headquarters, the veteran politician emphasized that the Congress is robust enough to contest independently.
Selja confidently dismissed the possibilities of a hung assembly, asserting that the Congress would secure an 'excellent majority' in the 90-member legislative body. She further noted that the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and the INLD-BSP alliance have lost significant ground in the state.
Touching on critical issues, Selja pointed out that unemployment, corruption, and the controversial Agnipath scheme are among the primary concerns for Haryana voters. She also stressed the need for a legal guarantee of minimum support price (MSP) for farmers, which the Congress aims to implement if elected.
