The Delhi Police have arrested 21-year-old Shavej for his involvement in the murder of a patient inside GTB Hospital. He attempted to escape and fired at the police but was overpowered. His arrest followed a string of others, bringing the total to seven, including one juvenile.

The Delhi Police have made significant progress in the GTB Hospital murder case with the arrest of Shavej, a 21-year-old resident of Seelampur. Shavej attempted to evade capture and fired at the police, but he was ultimately subdued.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Apoorva Gupta revealed that Shavej, along with his accomplices, mistakenly killed a patient named Riyazuddin at the hospital while aiming to murder another individual. The incident initially was reported to have been executed by two men.

Shavej's capture adds to the police's recent string of arrests, bringing the total to seven, including one juvenile. Earlier arrests include key conspirator Moin and logistical supporters Faiz and Farhan. Two others, Foujan and Saif, along with a juvenile, were apprehended on Thursday.
