The United States has again stressed the importance of finalizing a ceasefire deal in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza. Washington plans to continue engaging with regional partners to push for a definitive agreement, said State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, expressing the urgency for the Palestinian people suffering the war's terrible effects.

Miller highlighted that both Israelis and Palestinians are enduring the conflict's devastating impact. 'It is time to finalize that deal. The people of Israel cannot afford to wait any longer. The Palestinian people, who are also suffering the terrible effects of this war, cannot afford to wait any longer. The world cannot afford to wait any longer,' Miller stated during a press briefing on Tuesday.

Over the coming days, the United States will maintain dialogue with its regional partners to secure a final agreement. Miller emphasized that progress had been made in recent talks but success hinges on both parties' willingness to seek solutions and show flexibility. The US also demanded justice for the six hostages, including an Israeli-American, recently killed by Hamas. This incident ignited massive protests in Israel, with citizens demanding a ceasefire and the return of captives held by Hamas.
