Haryana Police have taken into custody four main conspirators in the murder case of Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) leader and two-wheeler showroom owner Ravindra Saini, officials stated on Tuesday.
The suspects have been identified as Praveen (32) from Hansi, Praveen (40) from Khivada Pali (Rajasthan), Ravinder (29) from Sisai Kalirawan in Hansi, and Ramesh alias Yogi Shivnath (40) from village Gamra, Narnaund (Hisar), currently residing in Pali (Rajasthan).
Produced before a court on Tuesday, the accused were sent to five-day police remand for thorough interrogation, the police said. Initial interrogations revealed that they had planned the murder of Saini during a meeting with mastermind Vikas alias Vicky Nehra from village Nindana (Rohtak). Saini was killed on July 10 in broad daylight outside his showroom in Hisar by three men who fled on a two-wheeler.
The incident has sparked outrage among opposition parties, who criticized the BJP government in Haryana, led by Nayab Singh Saini, over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
