Conflict Intensifies: Israeli Forces and Hamas Fighters Clash in Gaza Strip
Israeli forces and Hamas fighters engaged in fierce battles across the Gaza Strip, resulting in significant casualties. Health officials reported at least 30 deaths, while negotiations for a ceasefire mediated by Egypt and Qatar have stalled. Israel aims to eradicate Hamas following previous violent attacks.
Israeli forces clashed with Hamas-led fighters in various parts of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, leaving at least 30 people dead, according to Palestinian health officials. The escalation comes as Hamas accuses Israel of intensifying attacks to thwart Arab and U.S. efforts to broker a ceasefire.
In Rafah, an airstrike killed five Palestinians, while further south in Khan Younis, a family of four perished. Later in the day, an Israeli airstrike on a car in Khan Younis resulted in 13 deaths and 26 injuries.
The Israeli military reported that they targeted militant positions, tunnels, and buildings rigged with explosives across Gaza, hitting around 40 targets. Meanwhile, Hamas and Islamic Jihad claimed attacks on Israeli forces using rockets and mortars.
