Empowering Delhi Women: 'Namo Drone Didi' Scheme Takes Flight

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has inaugurated the 'Namo Drone Didi' scheme, aiming to train 200 women in drone operation and provide them with pilot licences, according to Raj Niwas.
Each trainee will receive Rs 25,000 through Corporate Social Responsibility funds. This initiative is part of a broader national mission aimed at empowering rural women with drone technology.
Commencing with drone demonstration events in Singhola and Badu Sarai villages, the programme will be conducted across Delhi's villages. Once trained, 'Drone Didis' will have numerous opportunities for employment or self-employment in fields such as drone surveys, event shoots, and agricultural activities.
