A 41-year-old technician at Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) tragically died by electrocution, sparking protests by family members, police reported on Monday.

The victim, Gegendra Singh, had been posted at JVVNL's General Sub Station in Etawah for four years. The incident occurred on Sunday while he was working alone on power lines. He was found unconscious and rushed to a local hospital, and later referred to another hospital in Kota where he succumbed to his injuries.

Singh's family attributed his death to negligence by JVVNL officials and demanded an investigation and compensation. JVVNL senior officials assured a three-member committee would be formed for an investigation and compensation would be provided. The police are conducting further investigations.
