Punjab Police Arrest Five Tied to Canadian Terrorist Lakhbir Singh

Five associates of Canada-based terrorist Lakhbir Singh, also known as Landa, have been arrested by the Punjab Police. The arrests were accompanied by the seizure of three pistols. The individuals are suspected of involvement in serious crimes including murder and extortion in various districts of Punjab.

Punjab Police have made a significant breakthrough by arresting five associates linked to Canada-based terrorist Lakhbir Singh, known as Landa, according to a statement by Punjab Police Chief Gaurav Yadav on Sunday.

The police seized three pistols during the operation. According to Yadav, the arrests bring the total number of Landa's gang members detained to 13. The gang is reportedly involved in various heinous crimes including murder and extortion across multiple districts of Punjab.

Jalandhar Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma provided further details, identifying the suspects as Simranjit Singh alias Simma, Paramjit Singh alias Pamma, Dilbagh Singh alias Baga, Dilpreet Singh, and Sajandeep Singh alias, all residents of Tarn Taran district. Sharma added that the suspects had been in communication with Landa, threatening traders and shopkeepers in Tarn Taran and Amritsar for money.

Previously, police had apprehended three of Landa's associates on June 10, and another five were held on June 30.
