Cloud Adoption Outpaces AI in India: Wipro Report Reveals Key Trends

More than half of organizations in India plan to increase their cloud investments, surpassing AI adoption rates. Wipro's July 2024 report shows 55% of organizations prioritizing cloud over AI. Hybrid cloud and public cloud investments are also expected to rise significantly among surveyed enterprises.

Cloud adoption is overtaking artificial intelligence (AI) investment in India, with more than half of the surveyed organizations planning to increase their cloud budgets, according to a report by IT major Wipro.

The Pulse of Cloud: Quarterly Report July 2024 by Wipro FullStride Cloud garnered insights from over 500 senior executives and decision-makers at medium to large-scale enterprises across North America, the UK, Germany, France, and Switzerland, spanning May and June 2024.

A reported 55% of organizations indicated that their cloud adoption is ahead of their AI initiatives, while 35% are advancing both technologies concurrently. The report noted that 54% of organizations plan to boost investment in hybrid cloud, and 56% in public cloud. Only 10% indicated that AI adoption is leading over cloud initiatives.
