Deadly Shootout Between Gangsters and Police Leaves Three Dead in Sonipat

A violent shootout between gangsters and a joint team of Delhi and Haryana Police in Sonipat resulted in the deaths of three gang members and injury to a Delhi Police SI. The gangsters, part of the Himanshu Bhau gang, exchanged fire with police after being intercepted on Rohtak-Chinauli road.

A violent shootout between gangsters and a joint team of Delhi and Haryana Police in Sonipat left three gang members dead and a Delhi Police SI injured. The gang members, identified as Ashish alias Lalu, Sunny Kharar, and Vicky Ridhana, opened fire on the police after being intercepted.

The incident took place on Rohtak-Chinauli road following a tip-off, leading police to intercept the suspects' car around 8.40 pm. The gangsters, who were behind a recent murder in west Delhi, tried to flee but were trapped when their vehicle got stuck near a farm.

In the ensuing gunfire, police shot back in self-defense, injuring and killing the gangsters, who faced multiple criminal charges, including murder and extortion. Haryana Police has registered a separate case for investigating the encounter.
