President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has called on Ukraine's Western allies to not only permit the use of their weapons for deep strikes inside Russia but also to increase the supply of arms to Kyiv. Zelenskiy reiterated Ukraine's requests following a meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof in Zaporizhzhia.
The Ukrainian President noted a growing urgency as Russian attacks on energy infrastructure and residential buildings intensify. He emphasized that merely allowing the use of Western weapons is insufficient, urging allies to ensure consistent weapon deliveries.
Dutch Prime Minister Schoof announced that the Netherlands would support Ukraine with around 200 million euros for energy infrastructure repairs and humanitarian assistance. Additionally, refurbished gas turbines worth 29.5 million euros will be delivered.
