Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri visited Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, offering special prayers during his two-day official visit to Nepal. The visit, at the invitation of Nepali Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, aims to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two nations.

Arriving in Kathmandu on Sunday, Misri was welcomed by Lamsal at the VIP Lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport. His agenda includes advancing India's commitment to the Neighbourhood First policy.

On Monday, Misri met Nepalese Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli at the PM Office and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar. A statement from the Nepal Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that various matters of mutual interest were discussed during their meeting.

The visit is part of regular exchanges between the friendly neighbors, and Misri is expected to call on other high-level dignitaries of Nepal. An introductory visit, no agreements or official engagements will be made, as confirmed by a source from the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.
