A fire broke out at a Tesla service showroom in the Nepali capital of Kathmandu, causing damage to properties and documents, according to police reports on Friday. The fire erupted at the ARETE International building, Nepal's first Tesla service showroom, located in Tangal, Kathmandu, just past noon on Friday.

'The fire has been doused. It started from the ground floor of the Tesla Service Centre in Naxal. The investigation and assessment of the damage are underway,' confirmed DSP Indra Subedi of the Maligaun Police Circle to ANI over the phone. Parts of Tesla electric vehicles and documents were scattered on the ground, with shattered glass strewn across the floor as the fire spread to the first floor of the one-and-a-half-storied building, which also hosted three charging ports for the world's largest electric vehicle brand.

'No vehicles were harmed due to the fire. We suspect it was caused by a short-circuit of the electrical wiring. Two Tesla cars that were in the showroom were quickly driven out to a secure location,' added DSP Subedi.
