Notorious Naxalites Surrender in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur District

Five notorious Naxalites, including two with a combined bounty of Rs 2 lakh, surrendered on Monday in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, a police official disclosed.
The group included woman ultra Podiyam Budhri, Mallam Deva, and Kartam Hadma, among others, the official confirmed.
Mallam served in the Golapalli Local Organisation Squad, while Hadma was the DAKMS president under Singaram RPC, a faction of the outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist). Both Mallam and Hadma had bounties of Rs 1 lakh each on their heads. Podiyam was a member of the Mehta RPC Krantikari Adivasi Mahila Sangathan (KAMS). Facilities for them will be provided according to the government's surrender and rehabilitation policy.
